History
of the Firm
The
Company was founded in 1981 by Robert Trotta who left an NYPD career
to pursue his vision of developing a premium security organization
to meet a growing demand for a higher level of protective services.
Following the domestic terrorism incidents of the late '70s and
early '80s, including the FALN bombings of a prominent multinational
corporation, Mr. Trotta created T&M Security Services in 1981
to fill this market opportunity. T&M was among the first
agencies to effectively utilize the services of off-duty police
officers in the security industry. T&M also adhered to
the highest standards for recruitment and training – well
in advance of the NYS Security Guard Act of 1992.
In 1999, the Company was reorganized as T&M Protection Resources
by its current Chairman and CEO, Robert S. Tucker, a former prosecutor
who previously served as the Special Assistant to the District
Attorney of Queens County, New York. Under Mr. Tucker's
strategic direction, T&M has substantially expanded its capabilities
and list of prestigious corporate and private clients as he continues
to lead T&M's growth to national and international prominence.
In the Spring of 2004, T&M was please to announce three important
corporate events; the appointment of Joseph M. Russo, formerly
the Special Agent in Charge of the US Secret Service Clinton Protective
Division, as Vice President for Special Operations, the appointment
of veteran industry executive, John B. Goldsborough as Executive
Vice President to head its corporate development and the acquisition
of Forensic Associates International (USA) and appointment of Robert
H. Silbering as T&M's Senior Vice President of Investigation
and President of its new FIA Division.
Today, T&M Protection Resources proudly provides a wide range
of protective, technical, investigative and intelligence services
to a growing list of corporate and financial institutions, property
management firms and private individuals and companies.
